37 palestinians killed by israeli action this month
1 israelis killed by palestinian action this month
Israel starts to debate cutting all supplies of fuel, electricity, and water into Gaza. The Israeli siege of Gaza increasingly looks like the nazi siege of the Jewish ghetto in Warzaw in 1943.
On September 18th Prime Minister Hanyieh tries to convince Islamic Jihad of stopping rocket attacks on Israel during Ramadan. Islamic Jihad refuses. Israel responds by declaring Gaza a “hostile territory” controlled by a “terrorist organization” (Hamas); imposes additional sanctions on Gaza with the stated aim of reducing Palestinian rocket fire, including cutting back fuel and electricity services to the Strip. It continues its ongoing killing spree in the Camps of Gaza. On the 26th alone, 11 Palestinians are assassinated by the IOF. A total of 37 Palestinians are killed by the IOF this month. Islamic Jihad retaliates with rocket fire into Israel. On the 28th Bush announces plans for renewing peace talks with a conference in Annapolis.
